My Story

The IASG team is taking on an extraordinary challenge to help protect Scotland’s most vulnerable animals — a 100ft abseil from the iconic Falkirk Wheel, the world’s first and only rotating boat lift.

On 21 March 2026, council members Louise McQuade, Matthew Hunter, Lydia Clark and President Nick Smith will step over the edge and make the daring descent, all to raise vital funds for the Scottish SPCA. Your donation will directly support life‑saving rescues, rehabilitation, and essential care for animals across Scotland.

Why Donate?

  • The Scottish SPCA relies on public support to continue its frontline work saving animals from harm.
  • Every contribution helps give abused, injured, and abandoned animals the treatment, safety, and second chances they deserve.

All donations will be gratefully recieved!
